
David Overturf is a native of Stuttgart, AR and has over 28 years of experience in higher education, intercollegiate athletics, healthcare and sales.
Overturf received both his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He served as Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Southern Arkansas University for four years and then returned to the University of Louisiana at Monroe for 20 years serving as Head Athletic Trainer, Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and the last four years as the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletics for Internal Operations.
As the Assistant Director of Athletics, Overturf oversaw the departments of Sports Medicine, Athletic Equipment, Strength and Conditioning, Athletic Video, and was responsible for all up keep and use of all Athletic Facilities. In addition to those duties he also coordinated all team travel for the football team.
After leaving the higher education field, Overturf served as a Senior Sales Representative for US Pharmaceutical Corporation, managing the North Louisiana and South Arkansas sales territories. He called on Family Practice and Internal Medicine physicians along with OB-Gyn, Hematologists, Oncologists, Nephrologists, and Gastroenterologist specialists.
Overturf and his wife Kathy relocated to Louisville, Kentucky in 2008 to be closer to family. Before joining The Continuous Improvement Center, Overturf served as the Senior Admissions Director for the Career Learning Institute which is a career training school for HVAC technicians.
In his spare time David enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and cooking. He enjoys watching all type of sports and is an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. David and his wife are active members of Highview Baptist Church in Louisville.
